Michigan Family Vacation 2015 Day 2 & 3...Holland/Saugatuck, MI

On the second and part of the third day of vacation we spent some time in Holland & Saugatuck, MI.  It was beautiful!  The kids were amazed with the water and all of the boats....And the sand,oh how they enjoyed all of that sand!  If you asked the kids what they liked the most about vacation it would be playing on all of the beaches and going  on the Dune ride.

Michigan Family Vacation Day 1...Peoria

For vacation we went to Michigan.  This was the first time that we had ventured further than about 4 hours from home.  We started out bright and early and everyone was excited.  We broke the trip up to make it work for everyone.  The first day we drove to Peoria, Illinois.  We toured the Caterpillar Visitors Center.  The kids loved it!

When you enter the Visitors Center you go into the bed of this mining truck.  It's been made into a little theatre.  They show you a video about Caterpillar and the seats vibrate as if you are really driving the truck.

Red Shoes Turns 9!

Red Shoes just turned 9! It's seems impossible to think that 9 years have passed by this quickly. He is such a sweet kid.  He wanted to have a swimming party, so we invited two of his friends from school and his cousins. I think everyone had a really fun time.  Happy Birthday Red Shoes! We love you so much!
